Former Texas Tech football coach Mike Leach picked up a new lead attorney in his lawsuits against the university and others — weeks after Tech denied his request to settle the issue.
Steve Heninger of Birmingham, Ala., confirmed to The Avalanche-Journal on Friday morning he’ll take over as lead attorney in Leach’s high-profile cases against Tech, ESPN, former college football analyst Craig James and Spaeth Communications.
Heninger of Heninger, Garrison, Davis LLC joins the case after Houston-based lawyer Paul Dobrowski submitted a recent motion to withdraw as lead counsel for Leach.
