The Department of State released the May 2012 Visa Bulletin on Good Friday, but the news for family members from Mexico was not so good.
- The F2B category (unmarried sons and daughters of LPRs) remains stalled at December 1, 1992. This is the same place it has been for 5 months now. This category has only moved forward 4 months in the last year (it was August 1, 1992 in May 2011).
- The F2A category (spouses and children of LPRs) did move forward 6 weeks to October 15, 2009. This category is still retrogressed from the date reached in December 2010 (March 1, 2010), but continues to inch forward.
- The F1 category (unmarried sons and daughters of U.S. Citizens) moved forward 1 week to May 15, 1993.
- The F3 (married sons and daughters of USCs) and F4 (siblings of USCs) categories remained the same.
All countries other than Mexico and the Philippines continue to move at the same pace with progress of 3-5 weeks in all family categories.
Two Philippines categories remained stalled (F2B and F3); the others moved forward 1-3 weeks.
